Mare mater

Mare mater, it's a ceremonial loincloth that dances in blue. It's a Mbuti  (congo pygmies), worked here in shades of blue gray. Painted with charcoal and latex (to make the binder) it's a story  hunting of the Baka clan (Congo)...A sea story too  or our bark travels  towards the blue, towards the sea, the pond  mater ...far, far from his native forest
